Responsibilities

  • Take charge of the General Duty Room; collect and report the latest domestic and international incidents and trends of vital importance; handle urgent matters that should be reported to the State Council and the Provincial Government.

 

  • Handle the emergency work assigned by the Provincial Government and the Emergency Management Committee of Guangdong Province; implement instructions of Provincial Government leaders on emergency management; organize emergency management-related conferences and activities and prepare documents.

  • Organize pertinent parties to make researches and propose suggestions on improvement of policies, laws, regulations and plans concerning emergency management.

  • Assist Provincial Government to handle the extreme and fatal emergencies; coordinate and direct the extreme and fatal emergencies.

  • Direct the construction of emergency system and emergency information platform of the Municipal Government and Provincial Government’s departments at and above the prefectural level; coordinate and supervise emergency management-related work.

  • Handle the work assigned by Guangdong Emergency Management Expert Team; handle other matters assigned by the Provincial Government and the Emergency Management Committee of Guangdong Province.
