Foot-and-mouth disease, sometimes called hoof-and-mouth disease, is a highly contagious and sometimes fatal viral disease of cattle and pigs. Humans can be infected with foot-and-mouth disease through contact with infected animals, but it is extremely rare.

·When discovering symptoms such as blister and ulceration on the feet, mouth and udders of cloven-footed animals such as cows, sheep and pigs, report immediately to the local animal epidemic prevention and inspection institutes.
