Cholera is an extreme diarrhoeal disease caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. Transmission to humans is by ingesting contaminated water or food.
Symptoms: stomach upset, massive watery diarrhea, vomiting fever, and dehydration. Severe infection of Cholera can result in death.
Tips:
·When above symptoms appear, consult the doctor immediately.
·Patients diagnosed with cholera should be treated in quarantine.
·The names of the person who shared dinner tables with the patient, the location of the meals, and the food served should also be informed to the doctor.
·Cooperate with epidemic prevention and control institutes to disinfect table wares, daily utensils and office facilities used by the patients.
·Burn the vomits and excrements from the patients.
Suggestions:
·Pay attention to the sanitation of food and drinks.
·Do not eat stale or contaminated food, uncooked or half cooked aquatic products.
