Assemble Emergency Kits

 

1. Emergency Supplies Checklists


At least one-day supply of food and water per person.

 

Experts' Advice


 Food
     a. Avoid foods that promote thirst.
     b. Choose canned foods, dry mixes, and other staples that do not require refrigeration, cooking or special preparation.


 Water
     a. Store at least one liter of water per person per day. 
     b. Bottled water is recommended, and the expiration date should be checked.
     c. Choose plastic water bottles if water containers are self-prepared. Thoroughly clean the bottles with dishwashing soap and water. Tightly screw the caps onto the bottles after they are filled up. Write the filling date on the outside of the bottles.

2. Emergency Kits Maintenance

 

    ·Store canned food in dry and cool places.

    ·Store food in sealed containers.

    ·Check the expiration date, update the food when necessary. 

    ·Change stored food and water supplies every six months.

    ·Choose plastic boxes, backpacks or camping bags that can be easily carried as emergency kits.

 

3. Emergency Kits in Different Situations

 

    ·Home: prepare one-day supply of all necessary items for the whole family.

    ·Workplace: prepare supply of food and water for convenience's sake.

    ·Private Cars: prepare supply of food, water, first aid kit, flashlight, etc.
