Thunder and lightening refers to the electric discharge of the atmosphere that releases lightening and thunder.
Tips:
·Close the windows and doors, stay away from them and iron objects such as water pipes and gas pipes.
·Turn off household appliances to prevent lightening strike from electric power lines.
·Try to take shelters when you are in the open field. If no shelters could be taken, do not run or use umbrella, try to find a low spot (e.g. a pit), and squat with your feet put together.
·Stay away from solitary tall tree, high towers, power line poles, or bill boards.
·Stop outdoor water sports such as swimming, boating and fishing.
·When there are many people together outside, don’t crowd to avoid conducting electric shock from one to the other.
Suggestions:
·Install lightening arrester on high buildings.
·Do not use cell phones outdoors.
·Apply artificial respiration to the victims of lightening strikes.
