A flood is an overflow of an expanse of water that submerges land.
Tips:
·Stay calm and escape immediately. Human lives should be evacuated prior to property, children, seniors, and people with disabilities should be evacuated prior to other persons.
·Move to the top of roofs, trees, high walls or other high spots when the flood is too abrupt to evacuate, and try to send a SOS signal. Transfer to safer areas using floating objects such as boats, boards, or wood beds when condition permits.
·Do not risk wading across floodwater, especially rushing torrents, for their depths are unknown. Instead, wait for rescue in the safe area.
·Stay away from fallen high-voltage power tower, fallen or broken power lines, to avoid electric shock.
Suggestions:
·Do not cross a river in mountainous areas during continuous heavy rains, to avoid being swept away by mountain torrents.
